WHO WE ARE
We speak up! We step out!

Our strength lies not only in the words we stand by, but most importantly in the actions of our initiatives. From the moment we started WINGs International a Women Empowerment Non-Profit Organization in 2022, we understood that by working together we could overcome the many challenges facing women today. We ultimately decided to launch wingsintl.org based on the mission that social change begins with empowerment.
Our Mission
WINGs’ goal is to create a Community/platform where every Woman will be empowered toward self-confidence, and motivated to step out into a better life.
Our vision: To encourage, nurture, and develop skills that support economic and vocational growth for the betterment of every member of WINGs to build better and stronger communities.

Substance Abuse and Rehabilatation
Substance abuse is a global epidemic that is ranging from one community to another regardless of geographic setting or race. As more youth are battling the challenges associated with substance abuse, WINGs has developed a model that communicates, listens, and get involved with youth and adolescents on the path that leads to long-term sobriety and vocational stability.

Our background
WINGs Rehabilitation was inspired by six young men known as (“Brothers of WINGs)” 4 of whom were themselves slaves to drugs. Through their stories, WINGs’ Drug Rehabilitation Service was visualized and brought to life. The goal of WINGs’ Rehabilitation is to provide a nurturing and empowering vision for our brothers and sisters towards a sustainable life of sobriety and vocational stability. We are motivated by the life changing adventures and contributions of young men who have transitioned from addiction to community building. The overall goal is to secure a platform/community that will guide or point every recovery addict towards a sustainable future of hope and possibilities.

What have we learned:
a. We have been on this journey since April 2, 2022 and have come to understand that engaging a youth or an abuser must start with a relationship that is non-judgmental in a clear and honest tone of voice (conversation). We have also learned that the challenges of addiction are many and complex; as such, no one program can rehabilitate the whole person. For us to be successful we must create sustainable programs and be intentional in creating communities where collaboration and information sharing between local and international organizations are encouraged.
b. We have also learned that a stronger team must be diversed in skills and experiences. Our goal must always be toward a success outcome for the addict not us. As we visit one ghetto to another, we must be intentional in meeting each youth where they are regardless of the community or socio economic background. Lastly, we have come to realize that the progress we have made and those we will make moving forward are the product of our togetherness, not as an individual; collectively, we maximize our resources.

What progress have we made:
Our most success story is looking you right in the face….6 young men whose’ futures were almost taken from them by drugs are now Ambassadors on the field giving their brothers and sisters hope of a better tomorrow. Through their stories, we have gained confidence and envision a better tomorrow for every youth who is being imprisoned by drugs and/or alcohol. Because we continue to fund rehab services for individuals from one short-term facility to another without lasting result, the launching of WINGs’ Rehabilitation Center in 2024 will be one of our biggest successes. In preparation of operating the center, three of our five Substance Abuse Ambassadors are in training. One is already working as a Substance Abuse Counselor, another is a Rehab clergy.

How do we plan to sustain this program:
We believed that substance abuse is an epidemic that is not limited to one community, city, or country; as such, government, private, and non-profit entities are all concerned and ready to step in and collaborate with any organization with clear goals and transparency.
